Walmart to add 3 more stores north of Dallas

2 fast-growing cities will get first locations — a rite of passage in the evolution of a suburb

The “retail follows rooftops” adage is holding true as Walmart Inc. said it is opening new stores in North Texas as the region continues to surge in population, especially the suburbs and exurbs.

Walmart (NYSE: WMT) aims to open three stores on the northern outskirts of Dallas-Fort Worth as part of a bigger plan to open 150 modernized stores across the United States by 2029.
