Preston Trail Community Church
Project Details
Description
MYCON successfully completed the construction of a new 42,000-square-foot Children’s Wing at the Frisco campus of Preston Trail Community Church. This significant expansion aimed to enhance the congregation’s education footprint and cater to the growing Family Ministry. The Children’s Wing includes dedicated spaces for nursery, preschool, and elementary school-age groups, featuring classroom and assembly areas. Notably, the design incorporates a special needs suite equipped with specialized classrooms, quiet rooms, and resource spaces to better serve children with learning disabilities. The addition also provides new indoor and outdoor playground areas, creating a comprehensive and inviting space for the church’s young members.
- Classroom and Assembly Spaces: The new Children’s Wing offers purpose-built classroom and assembly spaces tailored to the needs of nursery, preschool, and elementary school-age groups. These areas are designed to foster a conducive environment for education and group activities.
- Special Needs Suite: A special needs suite is a distinctive feature of the Children’s Wing, providing specialized classrooms, quiet rooms, and resource spaces. This suite is designed to cater specifically to children with learning disabilities, ensuring inclusive and supportive education environments.
- Playground Areas: Indoor and outdoor playground areas are integrated into the design, offering recreational spaces for children. Large windows in the front of the building highlight the play area, creating an inviting view from the outside into the building.
- Courtyard with Shade Canopies: The addition features a courtyard equipped with shade canopies, providing a comfortable and shaded outdoor space. This courtyard serves as a versatile area for various activities and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
MYCON’s construction expertise played a crucial role in the successful execution of the project. The integration of specialized spaces, including the special needs suite and playground areas, required meticulous planning and attention to detail. The construction team ensured that the new Children’s Wing seamlessly complemented the existing structures on the Frisco campus. The completion of Phase II at Preston Trail Community Church contributes significantly to the local community. The expanded Family Ministry spaces provide a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, supporting the church’s commitment to serving families and fostering a sense of community.
