MYCON Promotes Seven Central Texas Leaders

College Station, Texas, October 21, 2024 – Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) has promoted seven leaders from the company’s Special Projects division based in College Station, Texas. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, expertise, and dedication to driving innovation and operational excellence across the company’s distribution center and retail remodeling operations. Their promotions reflect both their personal achievements and their pivotal roles in advancing MYCON’s long-term strategic vision.

Justin Johnson, Project Executive
Justin Johnson, who joined MYCON in 2020 and brings 19 years of industry experience, has been promoted to Project Executive. In this role, he will lead MYCON’s distribution center automation and remodel initiatives, playing a pivotal role in advancing the Special Projects Distribution Center (DC)/Industrial business unit.

Sterling Tuley, Project Director
Since joining MYCON in 2016, Sterling Tuley has been a key contributor to the team. His well-deserved promotion to Project Director positions him to lead the strategic growth of Special Projects retail and grocery remodel operations in the Tennessee market. Tuley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Phillip Thomas, Project Director
Phillip Thomas was promoted to Project Director and will continue to play a vital role within the Special Projects DC/Industrial business unit. Thomas, who joined MYCON in 2018, will leverage his 12 years of construction industry experience to help drive MYCON’s progress in the distribution center automation and remodel sectors.

Micheal Garza, Director of Operations
Michael Garza has been promoted to Director of Operations. Garza will leverage his 23 years of construction industry experience to drive operational and business excellence by overseeing all aspects of Special Projects’ operations, including project controls, field operations, safety, and quality assurance/quality control. In collaboration with the Director of Project Controls, he will ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting contractual obligations and budgetary goals, and maintaining the MYCON standard.

Brian Gueck, Director of Project Controls
Brian Gueck has stepped into the Director of Project Controls role. In this capacity, he will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure Special Projects continues to excel across all client engagements. Gueck, who joined MYCON in 2019, will concentrate on implementing best-in-class project controls, ensuring the Special Projects team delivers exceptional performance in a fast-paced operational environment. Gueck holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.

Cesar Rodriguez, Director of Process Improvement
Cesar Rodriguez was promoted to Director of Process Improvement. He is responsible for ensuring MYCON remains the top choice for our clients by continually evaluating and enhancing internal operations and procedures. He will provide leadership development support to all MYCON departments. Rodriguez is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas and a Master of Arts in Political Economics from Tulane University.

Christopher Noe, General Project Superintendent
Christopher Noe was promoted to General Project Superintendent. Noe joined MYCON in 2022, and has over 23 years of construction industry experience. In his new role, he will oversee job labor and activities, ensuring MYCON’s projects remain on schedule and within budget. His strong communication skills and commitment to safety will continue to foster effective teamwork and maintain safe working conditions.
