Dallas, Texas, February 1, 2023 – On March 25, 2023, Dallas-Based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) will join Big Climb participants in climbing 69 flights of stairs to the top of the tallest building in Dallas – Bank of America Tower to raise awareness and funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). MYCON project director Jason Meuth is serving as the Big Climb Event Chair, and the firm is sponsoring this year’s Big Climb Construction Conquering Cancer Challenge.
Meuth joined the Big Climb Dallas event committee in 2022, and was selected as the Big Climb Event Chair for the 2023 event. In this role, Meuth leads this group of volunteer committee members in event planning, recruiting, securing sponsorships, and fundraising.
“I am honored to play a role in a community event that makes such an incredible impact, raising awareness and critical funds in support of blood cancer research and patient support,” said Jason Meuth, MYCON Project Director.
The MYCON-sponsored Construction Conquering Cancer Challenge, which runs February 21 through March 21, puts Big Climb teams from the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry head-to-head in a competition to raise the most funds for LLS.
“MYCON is the reigning champion of the Construction Conquering Cancer Challenge,” said Meuth. “This year we are challenging our fellow AEC industry peers to join in the competition to help raise these life-saving funds.”
In 2022, MYCON fundraised over $27,000 through the Big Climb event. With the help of the community, family, friends, and industry partners, MYCON hopes to surpass this amount in 2023.
