MYCON General Contractors, Inc. Begins Construction of New U-Haul Project in Princeton, Texas

Dallas, Texas, December 5, 2023 — Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) has been awarded a sixth contract with North America’s largest do-it-yourself moving and self-storage operator, U-Haul. The general contractor has started construction on the new six-building, 168,400-square-foot development in Princeton, Texas.

This six-building self-storage project sits on an eight-acre site along U.S. Route 380 in Princeton, Texas.

The U-Haul development consists of a light-gauge structural steel framed, four-story self-storage facility totaling 130,000 square feet, a 30,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal U-Box warehouse, and 8,400 square feet of single-story, tilt-wall drive-up storage buildings. The project scope includes an underground detention system, a city road, and development agreement finishes and structures.

Construction is estimated to be completed in June of 2024.
